Ascension Thursday Reflection
Dear Parish Family:
Tomorrow, Thursday, is Ascension Thursday. While we are still not able to come together to celebrate this great mystery embraced by the Church, our prayer is that His presence will abound within our hearts. We all look forward to the day when we can share the fullness of that presence at the table of the Eucharist. The following is the introduction to the Liturgy of the day.
We recall Christ’s ascension to his Father into Heaven. Before he left, he promised his disciples that he would be with them always. Indeed, the Lord is with us when we gather in his name, as we listen to the word of God, and as the bread and wine are consecrated. Let us celebrate the assurance that Christ is with us always, now and until the end of time.
